I recently embarked on a trip with the Sri Lankan Tourist Board and 4 other travel & lifestyle bloggers from the UK. From the capital of Colombo to the ancient cultural triangle, hill country ‘Little Britain’Nuwara Eliya, Uda Walawe National Park and beach town Mirissa, this route is perfect for travellers wishing to experience and explore local culture (and soak up some rays if so inclined!) for a couple of weeks. I present to you, my top 10 photos from the trip that make me fall in love with Sri Lanka all over again.
Colombo is an ever growing city in Asia, buzzing with an alluring combination of the new and the old; offering culture, shopping, restaurants, charismatic boutique hotels and so much more.

Tuk tuks, (also known as rickshaws, trishaws, three-wheelers) are ubiquitous across Sri Lanka in a kaleidoscope of colours, in fact, you’ll rarely walk far anywhere without being approached by a driver, especially in Colombo.
Being ‘in the know’, what a wonderful thing. I find it a little daunting visiting a new country to begin with- as much as I want to partake in a couple of tourist related activities I don’t want to be sent on a full blown tourist trail without seeing a more authentic side to the country too.
